Carpet, although it’s a beauty and trend that has remained for a few centuries now, if not taken care of well , then carpet can be heaven for dust and mites.

2. Steam cleaning
This is also common in various malls, offices across the developed countries and the gulf countries. Its local name is “carpet shampooing” where along with steam cleaning some chemicals you can add which kill mites if present.
Steam itself is capable of killing mites.
This method is time consuming but the results are worth it, you may not be able to do it alone. Also carpet might take time to dry so maybe altogether it can be a 2 day process. But the results are very promising and recommended by experts especially in cases of allergic reactions.
3. Washing the carpet
For this your normal washing machine won’t do the job especially if your carpet is big. You may have to reach out to laundry services to do the washing of your carpet. This is as effective as the steam cleaning and here you have to pay for it and also the process could take days.
4. Chemical methods
In case you want to get rid of the dust and mites quickly and you have no time to wait for days then apply chemicals such as under the classification of acaricides, diatomaceous earth, tea tree oil, eucalyptus oil etc can help to get rid of mites quickly.
However there are risks with this, first all of the above you should not use together. Second each of them these have some side effects on humans itself, like if one inhales.
Chemicals for a long period of time then could lead to respiratory distress conditions.
The above measures permanently remove dust and dust mites. It’s more effective if you employ more than one method you will employ at a time.
